Since its foundation in 2019, ABCs has focused its training efforts in the United States, while gradually extending its reach to other nations.

In 2019, over 50 leaders of CityLight Church in Virginia were equipped with Biblical Soul Care tools. Abroad, ABCs joined a 16-day outreach effort in Uganda and served 71 churches and 436 trainees—which also led to 484 treated patients, 174 counseling contacts, and over 33 professions of faith. Over 200 pastors and leaders received biblical counseling training and materials. Later in the year, ABCs collaborated with another Virginia-based church to provide training for 675 pastors and l leaders in Jinka, Ethiopia.

In early 2020, ABCs hosted a 21-hour in-person training for 29 leaders in Cameroon and 21 of the Ugandan trainees attended by simulcast. In November of 2020, given the hike in global mental health problems, ABCs organized an online training focusing on “Depression”— over 250 people registered for the event.

In April 2021, we organized an in-person training in three Northern Nigerian cities where churches are experiencing severe persecution—Miango, Jos, and Bauchi. Over 300 pastors and leaders attended under dire conditions and were equipped with biblical tools to handle trauma, loss, depression, and anxiety.

In August of 2021, we hosted a virtual training on trauma with over 50 pastors from the Evangelical Fellowship of Botswana. We continue to support previous trainees online as they complete the second level of our three-part program in the fall of 2021. There are currently more than 70 students attending training from six countries—Nigeria, Cameroon, Uganda, China, Botswana, and the United States.

From 2019 to 2021, over 2,000 pastors and church leaders have participated in our program. Our goal is to equip 20,000 leaders through all levels of our training by 2025. This is how we intend to perpetuate the cycle of multiplying disciple-makers.
